| The Post-harvest Marketing Challenge |
" To
store or not to store?" In this workshop, you will learn to evaluate the post-harvest market and size up grain storage opportunities with greater confidence. Like other workshops in the series, you get an opportunity to test your skills during a game that simulates a complete year of grain marketing. This provides you the ability to feel how marketing plans work with real-life situations. Afterward, you can compare your results against 15 years of real market prices. Can you beat the celebrity players? |
Gain
the Pre-harvest Marketing Advantage |
“ Marketing pays, and crop insurance is the tool that lets you do it with confidence.” That is the take-home message of this half-day workshop. During this program, you will simulate a year of grain marketing decisions. You can choose to purchase crop insurance as well as forward contracting their grain. See the results of your decisions, not just for one year, but also against 15 years of actual market prices. |
Launch
Your Pre-harvest Marketing Plan |
Here is your chance to develop a grain marketing plan! Focused on practicing marketing skills, this half-day workshop will give you a chance to review an actual marketing plan. During this session, you will learn how crop insurance, target dates and target prices can help you consistently secure a good average crop price. As part of this workshop, you will test your grain marketing skills with a fast-paced marketing game that simulates how a marketing plan can work, as well as how to react to real-life market changes. |
